some people think chinese is hard to learn... i have to agree form the point of view of a non-chinese... cos chinese words are the hardest to write... compared to japanese and korean and indian... haha yeh chinese characters are hard to learn its not like english where u only have the 26 letters and u just muddle them around to form different words. there's about 4,000 characters tht we need to know. but apparantly if u know chinese characters, its easier to learn japanese cos the writing is similar

but japanese have a different pronounciation... and one word has two or more pronounciation... so it's kinda hard for us, who don't study since we're young

haha... i even have problem remembering the japanese symbols even tho they only have one pronounciation... and talk about the chinese words...

korean words are like abc... each stroke or circle or square represents one or two vowels/consonants... i'm learning that... haha... but it takes me TIME to actually read a sentence or just a few words... terrible learner...

simplified... i can read traditional ones but dunno how to write them... taiwaneses use traditional and they don't use pin yin... u?
