that means chinese have to learn the chinese language... it's just what i think... but i don't mind mixing aorund with chinese ppl that dont understand chinese... my cousins don't understand chinese... but some ppl out there... they look low on them... that's so not fair...

oh yeh i agree. i didnt no chinese until i was 10 cos i quit chinese sch, didnt like it and i was always getting told by people 'ur chinese and u cant speak chinese!'. it was very annoying but then one day i just decided i wanted to learn again. but my brother and sister dnt know it

I wanted to learn how to write chinese so badly. I see how chinese school people write. It looks fun. XP I was in a chinese kindy. But then I switched to a non-chinese school after that. So I forgot how to write my own name XP

chinese is for chinese school students. malay is a must. every subject is taught in malay but recently they are teaching maths and science in english. but until my year, we're still learning those two subject in malay.

especially when you live in a western country and you're asian, you could be westernized... and some ppl are surprised! for example my mom's friend speaks French to her kids and they don't know a word of Chinese.
i also feel speaking Chinese is important to Chinese ppl.

some people think chinese is hard to learn... i have to agree form the point of view of a non-chinese... cos chinese words are the hardest to write... compared to japanese and korean and indian... haha
