[glow=red,2,300] My chinese is pretty good..... I can speak both mandarin and cantonese (especially cantonese) because cantonese is my first language ...... I can read traditional chinese and a bit of simplify chinese.... I can also write a bit of both...... [/glow]

I'd say average. Cause I can understand, speak and sometimes translate. But Still! I don't do very well for chinese in school and it is my second language but I don't practise much at home cause my dad doesn't understand. Cause I'm not chinese. I speak in English most of the time. But I will speak in a mix of english and chinese cause sometimes it is easier to express yourself in chinese. yeah but I get D7s in higher chinese in school.

I understand a little bit of hokkien and cantonese. I grew up speaking english at home so my chinese was really bad in the past. But when I went to secondary school, my chinese improved a lot as I began to listen to chinese songs and watch idol dramas without english subtitles. I didn't speak chinese a lot when I was a child because I was born in NZ. Moved to SG when I was 5. That was when I began learning Chinese. Now my chinese is better than those whom's chinese was better than mine in primary school!

I have recently gotten into chinese music and have been watching taiwanese dramas without english subs! I started learning chinese at...3? before that i almost never heard chinese... English all the way.

i will say good..because in my class there's two groups: chinese and english so i will be speaking both its pretty chaotic when both sides are pulling me here and there bugging me to translate for them some homework and other stuff but in the end we actually understand each other its just that we dont speak the same language its no biggie actually
