183 Club Fever Over? Sun De Rong: Fahrenheit Are Inflatable Dolls
Lately, new Taiwanese boy band FAHRENHEIT has been heating up all over Asia. In comparison, another Taiwanese boy band 183 CLUB were also once that popular. However, lately 183 Club has been rather quiet. 183 Club's manager Sun De Rong, without a change in opinion, strongly insisted that 183 Club is currently busy preparing for their big debut in the Mainland Chinese market. He also shot at Fahrenheit, "Three of them are like inflatable dolls, and there's one of them that is not even suppose to be there."
Last year when 183 Club hit the Hong Kong market it had created a hassle. However within two months Hong Kong fans are becoming crazy again - not because of 183 Club - but for Fahrenheit. In comparison 183 Club is now quite quiet in both Taiwan and Hong Kong. In these three days 183 Club is attending to a TV broadcasting function in Chengdu and Jungiery's manager Sun De Rong explained, "Fahrenheit only released one album and there's still a long way to go. We will not lose to them."
Sun De Rong pointed that Fahrenheit are just "three inflatable dolls with one uneccessary member". The "uneccessary member" he is pointing at is Fahrenheit member CHEN YI RU (Calvin Chen). He also said, "Inflatable dolls just have the looks and they are not useful. When they inflate it, it will look pretty, but when they have no more air it will look smashed. It's better to compare them with Taiwan's other inflatable dolls, Lolli Pop. They should have done some more training before they came out. That way they can survive in the industry longer."
As for Sun De Rong's criticism, Fahrenhehit's music label, HIM, explained, "You can't judge something just because someone has given their opinion. It takes witnesses and everyone's support to know the truth. Fahrenheit does not wish to compare with anyone; they just hope for themselves to try better."
Sun De Rong denied that he has given up in Taiwan and Hong Kong-based idol bands. "Taiwan's entertainment industry is already shrinking. Hong Kong only has around 6 million people, what's use for the competition?" However Sun De Rong was indeed telling the truth that he is planning for 5566 and 183 Club to hit the Mainland Chinese market. However at this point the dramas that 183 Club are in are all focusing more on MING DAO and WANG SHAO WEI. The other three members were "put aside." Sun De Rong admitted, "Chances will be for those who are ready. We shall consider this more after ZHU FAN GANG (Jacky Zhu) stops going to late night pubs and when HUANG YU RONG (Ehlo Huang) has more confidence in himself."
