The Most Popular Artist in Asia
Hi... ^_^
Nowadays, Asian artists are so popular. Not only in Asia, but also in the West. We've heard about how phenomenal F4 were in 2002. The series of Meteor Garden were fantastic and became a Top TV Drama in almost all Asian TV channel. Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Vanness Wu, and Ken Chu were so famous and became an idol of many Asian girls at that time. Then, we were hit by "Korean Wave". It was Rain and the K-Drama "Full House". Rain gained a popularity so fast with the drama "Full House". After Taiwan and Korea, Japan also tried to get a popularity with its J-Dorama. They made a Japanese version of Taiwanese Meteor Garden, titled "Hana Yori Dango". As we know, the Meteor Garden is adapted from Japanese manga "Hana Yori Dango". So, maybe the Japanese version of Meteor Garden is the "real one". This Japanese version has risen a Japanese actor, Oguri Shun. He's also a lead actor of another J-Dorama that based on the popular anime TV series "Detective Conan". He played as Shin'ichi Kudo. Then, we heard about Fahrenheit. A boyband from Taiwan. Many people said that Fahrenheit was the junior of F4, because both of them were so similar (their style, good-looking, and etc...). And then, have you ever heard about Jay Chou? He's not a youth idol of Asian drama, but he is a singer and musician. He's not good-looking, but he is so famous. He started his career in 2000 and until now, he has released nine albums and became an actor in some films, such as "The Curse of Golden Flower" and "Kung-Fu Dunk".
So, I wanna know who is the most famous in Asia. Then, I made a poll about "Who is the most popular in Asia?", and here is the result :
1. Jay Chou (Taiwan) = 128 votes (73%)
2. Fahrenheit (Taiwan) = 16 votes (9%)
3. Rain (Korea) = 15 votes (8%)
4. F4 (Taiwan) and Oguri Shun (Japan) = 7 votes (4%)
So, the most popular artist in Asia is Jay Chou. I agree with this result, because I'm one of Jay Chou's fans. But, F4 and Oguri Shun were at the last position. Why? Maybe the popularity time of F4 has gone. They've been passed by their junior, Fahrenheit. And Oguri Shun, he is not so popular in another Asian countries outside Japan. And Rain is not bad at the third rank. That's good enough for a "Korean Wave" star.

You can do better and maybe, someday..., you can hit American music...^_^!
