wow, alotta ppl know alotta languages! so coool! Hey, is German hard? It seems hard.. Haha. We are so knowledgeable! Just saying. Anybody know Korean? Japanese seems quite common, huh? But i think its one of the easiest, na? My teacher said that if you know Chinese, it's easier to learn Jap and vice versa.

I only know english and malay.. I'm interested to learn other language but have never gotten to actually learn any. I think its cool that alot of people can speak languages other than their mother tongue

- Dutch - English - German - French
And I'm trying to learn Mandarin, but yeah, have to learn it myself -_-' Oh and I used to know some Spanish... but forgot it all... And my French and German are actually not that well, but the teachers always tell me a pronounce it all very good, so guess that's something. But still learning that languages at school, so that'll become better =)

What is TeoChew ? Can somebody tell me exactly what hokkien is ? And which languages do they speak in Taiwan ?
+Reira+ : I don't think that German is hard for me because I live in Norway and the languages is pretty like each other.

Well, TeoChew is actually not consider as a language. Teochew is a dialect for chinese people. Hokkien is also consider a chinese dialect. Hokkien is also called 'min nan yu' In Taiwan, they speak mandarin. But they also speak hokkien (min nan yu).

1. English 2. Malay 3. Chinese - Mandarin (Learnt it through self-study) 4. Chinese - Hokkien (Mum's Hokkien & part nyonya) 5. Chinese - Cantonese (Dad's Cantonese & I live in KL) 6. French (Picked it up while studying) 7. Conversational Spanish/Mexican (Picked it up while I was working in the US)

i know cantonese - my mother tongue, malay - a compulsory subject in my country, english - as the second language, mandarin - a liltle... mostly know how to listen than speak, korean - learning from my sister...
