yeh me too...only just found out u have to ask for promotion to become a proper member.
and they check whether u have good posts to promote u

yeh u have to request to be a proper member and ur put on the waiting list...they hide the promotion function around the forum somewhere tho. if u dnt have that many posts they monitor u for a while to check u arent spammin and stuff, and can take a while i got accepted in a few hours tho  |
