I know a couple of thing in korean I'll share them with all of you. Korean basic Vowels a as in f ather eo as in l awn o as in g ou as in s ue ae as in p an e as in t en eu as in p ut i as in m eet ya as in yacht yeo as in yawn yo as in yo-yo yu as in yam ye as in yes I also learn from my friend how to write in korean. I wish I could explain it correctly like she did but I'm not very good at teaching. Sorry I think I can teach better Spanish than any other language since that's my native language.

You're lucky Sol-chan, that you can learn from a friend. All I know I got from the Internet... and anime/dramas...
Random japanese notes, words, and stuff...
Four in japanese can be either 'shi' or 'yon' but 'yon' is mainly used because 'shi' can also mean death. There's also an equivalent word for another number but I can't remember which one it is... maybe it's 'shichi' because 'shi' is in it...
'boku wa' is used more for younger males... I think...
(o)nii-san is actually older brother, and (o)nee-san is older sister. To be more formal, the 'o' is placed in front of nouns. (hence why the 'o' is in brackets)
(o)sake - wine imouto - little sister otoutou - little brother
Oh yeah, the basic vowel sounds of Japanese... (similar to Korean... I'll steal some of Sol-chan's helpful sounds) I've placed the hiiragana and katakana equivalent respectively in brackets, for those people with Japanese language support available. a (あ)(ア) as in father i (い)(い) as in meet u (う)(ウ) as in sue e (え)(エ) as in ten o (お)(オ) as in go
Hiiragana is used for the main language of japanese, while katakana is used for foreign words adapted into japanese. Sometimes the katakana version is the same as the hiiragana version, like 'i'
Do people have japanese/korean language support? If not, I can always use picture files to teach the alphabet... that is, if people want to learn the alphabet...
