i dint go to the concert so i dunno what type of boards ur are talking about
but i think..those boards are made of glow sticks..or whatever u call them..u kinda crack the stick and it will start glowing..(it wud last until about a max of a week i think)..then bend those sticks into the chinese charactors..

what type of board are u talking about??..do u have a pic..but i;m pretty sure ur talking about the board that is made of glow sticks..hehe..quite easy to bend it though..coz the sticks are really bendable once u crack it..

haha..ur idea is great..but i dun think it is..its like eh....dunno how to explain but its like normlly in hk when they have concerts alot of fans will hold up tis kind of boards tht is like made up of alot of lil bulbs n when u on it ,the bulbs will light up..

i think you can make a board with glow sticks, but there's a kind where the lights will like, flicker on and off... but of course, you need lots of small bulbs and it will be quite expensive...

those flickering ones are expensive but not so expensive..
