i've always thought that there's 2 o'lvels exams being held in a year.
maybe its because for some countries like yours, the school year begins and end early so june is the best time for the exam. some countries that starts school on january and ends in november, its best to take the exam on october/november as they've finish learning all the syllables by that time.
In my country you can take the june one if you want but the pay is more and its not encouraged much as we basically just finished learning by then.its usually taken by the very clever students or the repeaters

aw thxs. everyone's so nice. hehe...im gona be in the local newspaper...so embarassing wad's there to be embarassing about? we are happy for you le..n u urself shld be happy too..happy to get into the college lol yeh im happy to get into college but scared at the same time cos i dnt know anyone going there so having to make friends all over again. haha cos everyone will be able to see me in the newspaper and all my friends will joke on and on about it.  but my mum's so proud, she got 5 copies and sent it to all her family in m'sia |

In my country you can take the june one if you want but the pay is more and its not encouraged much as we basically just finished learning by then.its usually taken by the very clever students or the repeaters well we usually have it at june cos thats the end of the school year. and o level is 2 years of study so at the end of it when we've covered the whole syllabus it will be may/june so we have to make sure everything is finished by then otherwise there's no chance to take it again. but wait, some schs start in jan and end in NOV??? that only gives 1 month of holiday!!?? is that enuf? oh wow im learning lots....didnt no u had 2 pay to take the exam, no wonder there are 2 dates available. if exams werent compulsory or free here i dont think anyone would want to pay for exams |

haha, our holidays arent much. Haha. so yea, one month is considered alot actually. XD But people who take O levels usually have a shorter period of holiday coz the exams start when the school period for lower levels ends. And people can decide when they wanna start college or Lower 6 which is like STPM...dunno what u call it. College intakes here is Jan, March or July. Form 6 starts in June. So the length of ur holiday depends on when u start college or Form 6. ;D haha, complicated? I'm not very good in explaining.  |

ofcourse we have like 4 term holidays in between. each is atleast a week each. in england, you guys have only summer holidays?

HAHA no we have much more than summer. i read on the news england has the most holidays among any other countries. LOL we have about 10 term holidays or something i think! start in september...in october we have 1 week break...then another 6/7 weeks we have 2 weak break for xmas. then in february 1 week break....another 6/7 weeks later, 2 weeks break for spring term. in may another 1 week off, then the next week its 2 weeks off... and then after in july its 6 weeks holiday for summer. i think thats about 15 weeks of break in total...plus a lot of inset days where we dont have to come in... |

LOL yeh they sound very little compared to how much i get. hehe the process does sound quite complicated...seems like u get a lot of choice to decide about ur study and exams... for us here we have to follow the school year timetable...we cnt choose when we do stuff... |
